A major and essential event for design loversSupported by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Ministry of Productive Recovery and the City of Paris, the Festival du Design du Grand Paris, in 2015, will put the city in motion around committed players, offering their vision of design as vector of economic, cultural and social development. Place of exchanges, creation of networks, discovery and thought, the Festival of D'Days will find in the school of Decorative Arts its anchor and will radiate from the right bank to the left bank through the city of Pantin.
Big news for 2015: the Think Life Forum. A space to imagine tomorrow dedicated to businesses. The evolution of information and communication technologies, accompanied by the emergence of new forms of housing, work, mobility and leisure, invite everyone to question and debate and discuss shares the foundations of new sustainable societal models. The Think Life Forum will thus propose to start from contemporary forms of creation, production, distribution and consumption in order to question, in a prospective manner, the practices of tomorrow by placing design and the designer at the center of reflection. Between brainstorming conferences, participative workshops and exhibitions, the program of the forum will invite professionals and the general public to share experiences and knowledge to understand and analyze the challenges linked to the construction of tomorrow's society.
A rich program around design on the theme of ExperienceFrom June 1 to 7, 2015, the D'Days will offer a rich program around design on the theme of Experience: Everyday experience, everyday experience, design accompanies our lives in every place and at every moment. Objective: to make the general public understand that design is part of our everyday lives, by reinventing the objects we use on a daily basis. To support this point, each actor in the participating sector: publishers, museums and art galleries or even art and design school, will offer a personal interpretation of this theme: exhibitions or new installations in particular. Nearly 90 places, galleries and museums in Paris will participate in this event.
